FAQs

Can I change my mind and vote early in-person instead of voting at home (absentee ballot by mail)?

While you can, we urge you not to. Please just return your mailed ballot to an early voting location.  Otherwise, you may have to vote a provisional ballot in-person.

I see that I can request a ballot for my immediate family. Who does that include?

Immediate family indicates a person's spouse, parents, children, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandchildren, and mothers‑in‑law, fathers‑in‑law, brothers‑in‑law, sisters‑in‑law, sons‑in‑law, and daughters‑in‑law.

Are there special protections for service members and their families or other Americans living abroad?

For members of the Armed Forces, government employees, Red Cross, and spouses and dependents out of the country and citizens living abroad, there are special UOCAVA laws making it easier to vote using internet tools.  We urge you use these options.
